We are now recruiting for a Full-Time School Relations Coordinator.
Based in Calgary and reporting to the Director of Communications, you will develop and coordinate the promotions of Money Mentors programs to enhance financial literacy in schools across the province.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
• Assist the Director of Communications with strategic planning and implementation of metro and province wide School Financial Literacy initiatives;
• Cultivate interest in utilizing Money Mentors programs in elementary, junior/senior high and post-secondary schools by connecting with the appropriate contacts;
• Host presentations and sponsor activities for school administrators, teachers and counsellors;
• Coordinate special events such as awareness campaigns, open houses and displays;
• Oversee the development of a school database;
• Complete other projects and duties as assigned
You have the following qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Education or a related discipline;
• Proven ability to work independently and take initiative:
• Excellent organizational and project management skills;
• Superb presentation and networking skills required;
• First-rate written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to converse comfortably with education, community and business leaders at all levels;
• Proven PC skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet applications;
• Ability to handle a wide variety of responsibilities simultaneously and efficiently;
• Commitment to skill development and continuous growth through key performance indicators and performance management
