There are two credit reporting agencies in Canada, Equifax and Transunion.  These agencies store information that creditors send to them.  In turn, the creditors use this information to make decisions on whether to loan money or not.


Banking


The Canadian Banker's Association homepage offers banking news and a list of free resources you can order.  Topics include opening a bank account, investing, retirement, and more.


Government


The Canada Revenue Agency website provides income tax and benefit information.
