Money is quite possibly the thing we use most on a day-to-day basis. That's why it's important to learn how to manage it early and avoid headaches later.

With our first annual Youth Financial Literacy Week, Money Mentors' goal is to teach students and parents basic money management skills to give them the practical knowledge that they'll need to manage their money throughout life.

Knowing how to manage money will decrease stress and increase confidence. And that means more time for having fun and enjoying the life you work hard for!

Who is Youth Financial Literacy Week for?

Students

As you may have already guessed, Youth Financial Literacy Week is aimed primarily at the students, as well as parents. Like it or not, eventually you're going to have to plan and pay for everything on your own! We want to help you figure out how to do that.

Think learning about money is boring? Think again! We bring you "Funny Money" with comedian James Cunningham. You'll laugh, you'll learn and you might even walk away with a couple bucks.

Parents

Have you ever half-joked about wishing your kids came with a manual? Well, when it comes to teaching them about money, we can help!

Parents, join us on May 9 at 6:30 - 7:30 pm for a special presentation of "Enrich Your Kids" where our experts share tips and tools to help you raise financially fit kids!

Teachers

Teaching is a rewarding — and challenging career. Young minds turn to you for a wealth of knowledge and Money Mentors would like to help!

Our CALM class presentations focus on the basics of money management and explain why saving towards a goal is more rewarding than the "buy now, pay later" method of credit!

We also encourage educators to invite students to the "Funny Money" presentation on May 10th. We hope to see you there!
