Client Service Coordinator & Retention Specialist


Reporting to the Manager of Operations, your primary function will be to deliver client service excellence, and be the main administrator of the Money Mentors client retention strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Create a fantastic first impression of Money Mentors via phone, webchat, Email, or in-person contacts
• Provide prospective clients with accurate information regarding Money Mentors’ services
• Book prospective clients into appointments with credit counsellors
• Provide existing clients with accurate information regarding their account standing
• Create a warm friendly atmosphere in reception to keep clients comfortable
• Minimize missed appointments by using defined follow up procedures
• Minimize attrition by contacting clients in arrears and making payment arrangements
• Liaison between departments with regards to files in arrears
• Commence the Money Mentors Default Process where applicable
• Provide monthly reporting regarding the default process
• Contact clients, creditors, stakeholders, and staff as needed
• Accept payments as required
• Data entry and file maintenance as required
• Other Client Service duties as needed
• Other Administrative duties as required

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Background in client services and or collections required
• Strong typing skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in problem solving and phone diplomacy
• Ability to deal with individuals experiencing stress
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proven computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn new software
• Must be willing to work shifts which will include one evening shift (12-8:00pm) per week, and 1 Saturday (9-5pm) per month

Financial Literacy Administrative Coordinator

Full-time Permanent
Based in: Calgary Office
Reports to: Director Financial Literacy
 

Role:  As a member of the Financial Literacy team, the role of the Financial Literacy Administrative Coordinator is to:

1.      Maintain statistics and budget for the Financial Literacy team, including key performance indicators, by creating, updating and maintaining spreadsheets and researching databases
2.     
Book corporate, schools and community clients with presentations
3.      Order, receive and manage inventory levels for Financial Literacy team 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.      Assists with the administration of Money Mentors’ services amongst our stakeholders, which include schools, community groups, corporate clients, government, financial institutions, financial planners, mortgage brokers, social agencies, bankruptcy trustees, employers, lawyers, and the public.

a.       Update and implement the Financial Literacy business plan which includes:
           -  Assisting in defining key target markets
           -  Assist with planning targets and budgets
           -  Evaluation through Key Performance Indicators

b.      Contribute to the Financial Literacy business plan and the Stakeholder Relations plan which may include but is not limited to:
        -  Coordinating presentations
        - 
Assisting financial Literacy Coordinator(Schools) with bookings
        - 
Coordinating displays and special events
        -  Attending stakeholder functions
        - 
Identifying promotional materials, coordinating orders and maintaining inventory
        -  Collaborating and preparing reports for stakeholder organizations on financial literacy initiatives

2.      Coordinate corporate and community Financial Literacy education throughout Alberta.
          -  Coordinating facilitators
          -  Following up with host client
          -  Invoicing
          -  Managing evaluation and Key Performance Indictors
          -  Actively pursue and maintain EAP Contracts and other opportunities beneficial to Money Mentors

3.      Manage and evaluate Financial Literacy and Stakeholder Relations department Key Performance Indicators and team budge
          -  Updating KPI spreadsheet
          -  Evaluating department performance through KPI statistics
          -  Build annual department budget spreadsheet, update monthly

4.      Prepare meeting agendas, research and provide statistics to stakeholder groups

5.      Synchronize Financial Literacy overall Evaluation System to ensure statistics for our stakeholders

6.      Perform other related duties as needed to achieve goals and priorities set out by Money Mentors
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.      Strong administrative and research skills
2.      Ability to multi- task with excellent communications skills
3.      Attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills
4.      Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
5.      Database experience

Financial Literacy Specialist

Full-time permanent
Based in: Calgary Office
Reports to: Director Financial Literacy
 

Role:  As a member of the Financial Literacy team, this position has been established to develop our Financial Literacy initiatives including:

1.       Researching current financial education and identifying best practices when carrying out our Financial Literacy Business Plan.
2.      Write, create, develop and implement  Money Mentors’ education programs with the goal of enhancing adult and youth financial literacy across the province in accordance with our Financial Literacy Business Plan
 

Responsibilities:

-The point of contact for all education initiatives
-Write, Create and Development of all new content for the Public/Youth education programming including web-based on-line courses, as well as powerpoint and webinar presentations outlined in our Financial Literacy Business Plan
-Reviewing, revising, updating the content of all Financial Literacy presentations currently offered by Money Mentors’
-Facilitation of Money Mentors presentations
-Monitoring and evaluating facilitators presentations on an ongoing bases, including all locations
-Approving expense claims/timesheets for all staff related to education
-Ensures all education projects undertaken are managed effectively, completed on time, on budget and aligned with our Financial Literacy Business Plan
-Some travel throughout Alberta may be required, as well as evening and weekend work
-Perform other related duties as needed to achieve our goals/targets set out by Money Mentors
 

Skills and Qualifications:

-Independent, leader to research better methods & materials for teaching/delivering Financial Literacy
-Knowledge of learners and learning theory, experience with online learning, curriculum development, facilitation and training
-Excellent communication, analytical, organizational and project management skills
-Attention to detail, time management/organizational and teamwork skills
-Well developed creative abilities
-Ability to manage multiple projects
-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Webinars).
-Knowledge in money management and education
-Post-secondary education, including education degree or other related discipline.

Financial Literacy Relations Coordinator

Based in: Calgary
Reports to: Director Financial Literacy

Role:   As a member of the Financial Literacy team, the role of the Financial Literacy Relations Coordinator is to:

1.       Develop and implement initiatives aimed at building awareness, of our school programming within our Financial Literacy Plan
2.      Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships in Calgary and Edmonton area with a variety of stakeholders with ties to financial literacy or youth education
3.      Assist with partnerships in schools, in Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Red Deer   
 

Responsibilities:

-Cultivate interest in utilizing Money Mentors’ programs in schools by connecting with appropriate contacts, by identifying key target markets including action plans and evaluation
-Provide back-up in case of emergencies to facilitate presentations for schools
-Coordinates special events such as awareness campaigns, open houses and displays related to youth education
-Identifies and builds school partnerships to ensure strong relationships are proactively developed and maintained
-Identifies and builds relationships with other stakeholders and groups in the community with the intention of increasing the visibility and awareness of Money Mentors’ education programs
-Participate/ assist with displays
-Maintain database and budget
-Travel throughout Alberta will be required, as well as evening and weekend work
-Perform other related duties as needed to achieve goals and priorities set out by Money Mentors
 

Skills & Qualifications:

-Excellent communication skills
-Strong facilitation skills and experience in public speaking
-High level of motivation and a strong sense of ownership
-Ability to multi-task, manage time, with excellent organizational skills

-Some post-secondary education or appropriate work experience
